Claro Healthcare: Reflecting Patient Complexity Through Accurate Evaluation/Management Assignment

This course provides an overview of common procedural terminology (CPT®) codes assigned to indicate the level of evaluation and management (E/M) a patient required during an encounter in the ambulatory or inpatient setting. The course further instructs on total time elements as well as elements of medical decision making (MDM) that can be used to assign an E/M level. Practical application exercises are included in the presentations as well as a simulated provider education session. This course utilizes PowerPoint slides, verbal discussion, practical application exercises, and case study reviews. Contact hours are commensurate with the total time of session attendance and completion of the course evaluation survey.
